Every May we have our Installation Banquet, where we name the woman who has been chosen "Sweet Adeline of the Year" by the chorus.
At this year's event, our outgoing Sweet Adeline of the Year Page Hesser (right) hands a special engraved bracelet to Olga Wolmer, our new Sweet Adeline of the Year for 2010 (left).
This special award is presented to the member selected by secret ballot of the Chapter membership who best exemplifies the spirit of fellowship and harmony while promoting the Chapter with service and song, considering her attitude, personality and enthusiasm.
Olga helps keeps us moving at the start of rehearsal as one of our physical warm-up leaders. Not only is she featured in our front row, but she keeps the group on it's toes as part of our Visual Team. Olga is also seen dancing across the room every time we have a visitor - she is a key part of our Membership Team, and is the "face and voice" of the chorus for prospective new members. Olga, who sings baritone in the chorus, also is in charge of maintaining our recorded Music Library that houses all our learning tracks. We are so proud to have Olga in our chorus, and that she is our latest Sweet Adeline of the Year!
